How do I invoice my customers?

It is great when you love what you do, but it is so much better when you can get paid for it. We make invoicing your customers as streamlined as possible. First, click on the INVOICES tab in the menu. This will bring you to the page where you can see outstanding invoices; here you will also be able to send invoices. To start an invoice, click on the NEW INVOICE button. This will bring you to the invoice form.

Invoice 1

This is where you will build the custom invoice for your client. Fill in the summary box with a brief title of the services given. Set the due date of the invoice and choose the client. After this you have two options: add custom item or add a package. If you have already created packages for specific types of shoots you can click on ADD A PACKAGE and choose the package that your customer ordered.

This will set the amount due, and you have the option to either add another package or custom item. You should choose ADD A CUSTOM ITEM when you did something for the customer that was not quite in your normal line of work. When you add a custom item, you can set the price, as well as the name of the service you provided. Near the bottom of the page you can also add comments, as well as give discounts to packages.

You can choose to give the discount as either a flat rate or percentage of the entire invoice. You can change your default tax rate here as well. Once you have completed the information, save the invoice. Once you have saved the invoice, don’t forget to send it to your client by clicking SEND in the upper right-hand side of the page.
